Lansing | What We Do

The Zonta Club of Lansing sponsors fundraisers to support local area charities whose goals are to promote the status of women.  This past year, we donated to:
  • EVE’S, Inc.
  • Girls on the Run
  • LCC Women’s Resource Center (for scholarships)
  • Reading is Fundamental (RIF)
  • Michigan Women’s Historical Center & Hall of Fame
  • Kids Repair Program
In addition, our local service projects included:
  • EVE’S Adopt a Family Program and donation of pillows to their facility
  • Donations of Mascetomy pillows to the Sparrow Hospital Cancer Center
  • Clothing and necessities to Volunteers of America and Salvation Army

The Zonta Club of Lansing, a member of Zonta International whose mission is to “Advance the Status of Women and Girls Both Locally and Globally,”  with a Zonta slogan of, “Fair, Square, Every Time, Everywhere! The Zonta Club of Lansing has sponsored eight new clubs, one Golden Z Club which is geared to college and university students and one Z Club which is for middle and high school age student.  The clubs are as follows:
January 22, 1922, Zonta Club of Lansing was the 16th Zonta Club organized.  Just think about it, this was just two years after the 19th Amendment was ratified allowing all American Women the right to vote! We’ve been going strong ever since.  Zonta Club of Owosso, April 26, 1929
