Our Zonta Club has been serving the local community since 1927. In those 90 years over $500,000 has been contributed to benefit local women.
We are one of over 1,200 clubs of Zonta International, a worldwide service organization. Founded in 1919 in Buffalo, New York, Zonta takes its name from the Lakota Sioux Indian word meaning “honest and trustworthy.” Zontians volunteer their time, talents and are committed to local and international service projects that are designed to advance the status of women and empower women through service and advocacy. Zontians can be found around the world, all working to support Zonta International mission and projects.

LUNAFEST 2022 – Films made by Women for Women
Make your popcorn and settle into a comfy sofa safely at home OR enjoy IN PERSON at the Milford Independent Cinema eight short films (80 minutes in total) made by women for women. This year’s films challenge our perceptions about the world and our place in it, spark conversations, strengthen connections, and inspire us to be better versions of ourselves. This year we are all about documenting the struggles women encounter, from an animated poem about Covid-19 isolations, a young girl’s creative solution to keep in touch, an immigrant’s surprising dog walking experience, to a social experiment with surprising results.

Zonta Pontiac North Oakand supports Zonta International’s 16 Days of Activism each year. November 25 thru December 10, Zontians unite in our Campaign Worldwide. Follow us and join Zontians around the world as we advocate for women.
