THANK YOU for supporting our Lunafest Film Festival !

We hope at least one of the films touched your heart, raised insights and questions, gave you a new perspective, made you smile and/or made you think on issues you may not have thought about.  We hope to see you when we host our next Lunafest.  With your generous support we will be able to provide more monies to our local and global programs supporting women.  See you NEXT YEAR !!!

Z is for Zonta !

Our Zonta Club has been serving the local community since 1927. In those 90 years over $500,000 has been contributed to benefit local women.

We are one of over 1,200 clubs of Zonta International, a worldwide service organization. Founded in 1919 in Buffalo, New York, Zonta takes its name from the Lakota Sioux Indian word meaning “honest and trustworthy.” Zontians volunteer their time, talents and are committed to local and international service projects that are designed to advance the status of women and empower women through service and advocacy.  Zontians can be found around the world, all working to support Zonta International mission and projects.

16 Days of Activism

Zonta Pontiac North Oakand gathered to support Zonta International’s 16 Days of Activism with their two banners saying No to Violence Against Women.  In addition to the the banners a 16 Day FaceBook Campaign is under way.  Check us out on Facebook

In Oakland County last year:
Reported Domestic Violence Assaults = 4,529
Fatalities = 9
ONE is too Many

Zonta International’s Vision

Zonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential.

In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men.

In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.

 Zonta gives you the chance to be a part of something much larger than yourself…

Do  you have the Anatomy of a Zontian ???
