Chartered The Zonta Club of Southfield began its legacy of service as the Zonta Club of Highland Park in 1929

The Zonta Club of Southfield Area Is Celebrating 85 Years of Service Advancing the Status of Women Chartered in March 1929 as the Zonta Club of Highland Park, the Club was relocated to Southfield in 1981.  Our members are a dynamic group of women representing the diversity that is the Southfield area.

Zonta Club of Southfield is one of over 1,200 clubs of Zonta International, a worldwide service organization.  Founded in 1919 in Buffalo, New York, Zonta takes its name from the Lakota Sioux Indian word meaning “honest and trustworthy.”  Zontians volunteer their time, talents and energy to local and international service projects that are designed to advance the status of women.

Zonta gives you the chance to be a part of something much larger than yourself  Zonta allows you to give of yourself to others, to actively participate in the selection of service projects to help your community, and to improve the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women worldwide.
