Women of the Year

The Woman of the Year award has been a tradition for the Zonta Club of Alpena since 1966.  The purpose of this award is to honor a woman for her volunteerism in our community, and to highlight the significant impact women make in our lives.

The honoree can be nominated by anyone in the community, and we encourage you to submit a nomination!

Rules:

1. The honoree cannot be a Zonta club member.
2. The honoree must live within a 25-mile radius of Alpena
3. The honoree must not receive nor have received compensation for the work for which she is being nominated.
4. The honoree must be making or have made a significant contribution to our community through her volunteer efforts.

After receiving nominations, the Woman of the Year committee will make the annual selection, and the Woman of the Year recipient will be honored at the Alpena Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet held in February.
