Service Projects

Holiday Wishlist of Hygiene Products for Women’s Shelter – Our club and its members give generously each season to a non-profit organization in need during the holidays. Our past organization of choice has been Hope Shores Alliance. In addition to hygiene products and monetary donations, journals are greatly appreciated by survivors as a private place to record their thoughts, feelings, and experiences while navigating an often-difficult healing journey.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – Out of the Darkness Community Walk – Many are introduced to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention via the Out of the Darkness Walks, which take place in cities nationwide. Those affected by suicide – and those who support them – walk to raise awareness and much-needed funds, strongly sending the message that suicide can be preventable, and that no one is alone.

Adopt a Highway in Michigan – This is a Michigan Department of Transportation program designed to help keep the state’s highway roadsides clean and attractive. Participants adopt both sides of a section of state highway roadside to clean up for at least a two-year period. A minimum two-mile stretch of roadway is recommended.

Nautical City Festival – A safe, fun, family event that promotes community pride in Rogers City. Stakeholders include: Rogers City Area Chamber of Commerce, Rogers City Servicemen’s Club, Kiwanis Club of Rogers City, Optimist Club of Rogers City, Knights of Columbus Council #1705 and the Zonta Club of Rogers City Area.
