Women helping women, locally and globally…
That is the mission and passion of the Zonta Club of Marquette. If you share this passion, we invite you to come learn more about Zonta.
What do we do? 
  • Have fun while giving back to our community, building friendships and supporting each other professionally
  • Educate our community about women’s issues such as human trafficking, violence agains’t women and gender equality
  • Mentor local high schools and college women
  • Award grants and scholarships
  • Share our time, talents and resources to enrich our community
What is Zonta International (ZI)? 
  • ZI is composed of over 30,000 members in 66 countries working together to empower women worldwide through service and advocacy
  • Zonta’s vision is a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential
  • In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision-making positions on an equal basis with men
  • In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence
Since 1972, the Zonta Club of Marquette has been involved in many wonderful service and advocacy projects that benefit women and children throughout Marquette County.
Service Projects 

We participate in a variety of service projects consistent to our mission. Members are encouraged to recommend projects for us to consider & become involved with the below service projects:

  • City Clean Up – Picnic Rocks, Zonta’s Sponsored Park
  • Children’s Museum
  • Harbor House
  • Woman’s Center

Our Z-Clubs participate in several annual service projects of their choosing consistent to Zonta’s mission. Zonta and the Z-Clubs look for opportunities to work together on service projects and fundraising.
